After Care Kit

You will be provided a cleanser and balm specially formulated for permanent makeup. You will also wash them and apply the balm that night before bed. Continue to wash and apply the balm morning and night for 10 days. You are also welcome to apply more balm in the middle of the day if the brows feel dry or itchy.

To wash your brows, apply a pump or 2 of the foaming cleanser onto clean hands and gently wash the brows in the direction of hair growth. Please do not scrub at them. Using a clean washcloth or paper towel, gently blot them dry. If you need to rinse with a small amount of cool water, that is ok, just don't saturate the brows.

To apply the balm, squeeze a rice sized amount onto a clean finger tip and gently smooth over the brow, repeat on the other side. Do not glob on the balm, just a light thin layer to keep them hydrated and comfortable. They still need to be able to breathe in order to heal properly.

  • Your brows will take about 2 weeks to heal. It's important that you take good care of them in order to get the best result possible. During those 2 weeks, it is important that you avoid the following:

Sweating. This includes exercise and excessive heat and humidity (ex: staying outside in the heat, long, hot showers/baths etc.)

Water. Do your best to keep your brows dry while you shower and wash your face. Go as long as you can without washing your hair, but when you do, tilt your head back to avoid getting water on your brows. If you do get them wet, take a clean washcloth and blot them dry. Avoid saturating the brows while they are healing.

Sun. Do not be in direct sunlight while your brows are healing. If you must be outside, wear a hat to keep them covered. Once the brows are healed, it is a good idea to wear sunscreen on them to prevent them from fading.

Sleeping on your face. If you are a side or stomach sleeper, you will want to do your best to sleep on your back. Rubbing your brows on your pillow can cause them to flake prematurely and effect your retention.

Touching with dirty hands. Because your brows are technically an open wound, there is the possibility of infection. Be extra careful to keep your brows clean and away from anything that could cause infection.

  • Your brows will fade about 20% from what they are the day you get them done. The next couple of days they may appear to be getting darker and thicker, they are not, it is the pigment oxidizing. The pigment may also appear warm or reddish. The pigment naturally cools down as it heals, this ensures a neutral healed result. Over the next few days, you may have some light flaking, this is very normal, thick scabbing is not. Scabbing will be prevented by keeping the brows clean and moisturized. After the flaking, the pigment may appear very light. The true color will appear more as they heal. Healing can feel a bit like a rollercoaster at times, but be patient and diligent in caring for them and you get the best result possible.
